When looking at the works of art exhibited at the show, social anthropologist Klāvs Sedlenieks will try to take one step back. Instead of merely looking at the objects and trying to find out what exactly can be seen and what each artist has intended to say, Sedlenieks will try to unravel an anthropological question: why do we have “art” and what is its importance in our society?
