German photographer Andreas Meichsner in his series War and Peace focuses on contemporary aspects of European society and explores the modern world’s need for safety, structure and discipline. In this exhibition author will highlight the paradox between nowadays period of unlimited choices and between how people choose to spend their free time – by experiencing fake restrictions and simulated reality, and by satisfying their personal desire to control and to be controlled. War and Peace visualizes question of why the idea of structure and pretend borders in this present-day era of freedom is so tempting.
